T illamook 4 the Miami river, when at home, was arrested over in Dallas, Polk county, one day last week by the sheriff of that county while looking the town over. Deputy Sheriff I.ucas went ov er to Dallas last Saturday and on Sunday brought Zurcher back he^. and placed him in jail. An effort was made over a year ago to get Zurcher on a state charge, but up to last week he had eluded the officers of this coun ty. Zurcher was arraigned before Justice Stanley Monday last and plead ed not guilty to a charge of unlaw ful manufacture of intoxicating li quor. He was placed under $1,0011 bonds to appear at a later date for examination Bonds for the above amount were furnished by relatives and friends. 'ABOUT THE TOWN Mr. and Mrs. G. A. On Tuesday last Dwaine Imlah, a 14-year-old !>••? of Cloverdale, armed himself with u 25-30 repeating rifle and opened tire on some dairy cows belonging to Frank Owens and Ivan Gist. Two of the cattle have since died and five others bear wounds from tile effects of the bullets. Imlah was brought up to Tillamook and on Wed nesday he was examined before County Judge Homer Mason. Imlah confessed that he alone had done the shooting, and exonerated two play mates who were with him earlier in the day. The Judge sentenced the boy to the state reform school until he becomes of age. The boy is a son of Alex Imlah, a resident of Clover dale. Mrs. Albert Plank.
